How to Make Perfume Last in the UAE Heat

Heat and humidity change the way a perfume behaves. Warm skin releases fragrance faster, so a few small habits help it last through the day.

Apply to moisturised skin

Fragrance holds better on hydrated skin. Apply after a shower, over an unscented moisturiser.

Choose the right places

Pulse points such as the inner wrists and the base of the neck release fragrance gradually. In the heat, you can also apply a spray to clothing such as a scarf, after testing on a hidden area.

Do not rub

Rubbing your wrists together warms the skin and rushes the opening notes. Let the perfume dry naturally.

Keep the bottle cool

Store your perfume closed, in its box and away from sunlight. Never leave it in a parked car, where high temperatures can damage the fragrance.

Choose a concentrated perfume

An Extrait de Parfum contains a higher concentration of perfume oils than lighter versions and tends to last longer on the skin, which makes it well suited to warm climates.
